Fiona Kwong

Fiona Kwong has exhibited widely throughout Australia and overseas. Her solo exhibitions have revolved around ideas of identity. The jewellery at Studio Ingot is a reflection of this investigation, her unique style and the individuality of the collector.

Fiona prefers to work with high carat gold, pearls and gemstones because of their inherent beauty and preciousness.Her process is to conceive ideas in her mind’s eye long before putting pencil to paper. She then draws many simple sketches on a theme and distils these down to a handful of designs. Making the jewellery by hand is important as the act of crafting each piece frequently results in refinement of the design or may inspire a new collection. Her pieces exhibit restrained use of line and form resulting in contemporary elegance.
