Elizabeth Kennedy

Elizabeth Kennedy is a Gold and Silversmith living and working in Melbourne Victoria. Born in Glasgow Scotland, she has called Melbourne home for the past 25 years.

With Bachelor of Arts in both Sculpture and Gold and Silversmithing from RMIT, she has taught and lectured in Gold and Silversmithing extensively over the past 12 years. Doing so while continuing to build her jewellery practice.

Elizabeth’s practice spans one-off exhibition pieces, bespoke commissions and a wide production range, using predominantly precious materials. Making all her pieces by hand, creating intricate, delicate wearable pieces. She individually hand drills every hole in the metals surface, a way of bringing light in to the material. No two pieces will ever be exactly the same.
