My work is raw and heavily textured with traces of my fingerprints as a symbol of my deep connection to my work. I have always been interested in design; there is something about looking for the right composition, the right contrast and the right balance and tension in a piece of jewellery that excites me.

I honour the making process and the different stages a finished piece of jewellery has to go through and I love to reveal little glimpses of techniques I used along the way. They symbolise the past life and the growth of that specific piece of jewellery. I love to embrace and work with the little flaws and imperfections that inevitably come with a making process. When accentuating those 'imperfections' they often become the soul of a piece of jewellery – It gives them a unique identity. I find excitement in people’s ability to get emotionally attached to a piece of jewellery or an object. It’s my drive as a designer and maker and I feel privileged to become a part of someone’s life through my work.
