Amy Renshaw

Amy Renshaw has made and designed jewellery professionally since 1993, and her passion for the process of creating is stronger than ever. Following a Bachelor of Art in Fine Art at RMIT Gold and Silversmithing, she worked in manufacturing briefly to refine her technical skills, before heading to London to work with a variety of contemporary jewellers, then returning to Melbourne to start her own jewellery practice.

Amy particularly enjoys commissions. Designing a piece that someone will wear everyday feels very special to her and she always feels honoured to be part of that process. Her work varies from refined geometric shapes, to those that are more ornate. Predominately her gold work is recognised by its uncomplicated, simple forms and asymmetrical details

She strives to constantly develop her collection, to keep it fresh and allow her to explore new creative directions. Each and every piece is made with careful consideration and stems from her love of the materials and the pure joy of making.
