Sarah Kellett

Sarah handmakes thoughtfully created jewellery, combining classical details with a contemporary edge. Her pieces bring together an eclectic mix of styles and influences, with inspiration often found in her collection of unique gemstones. This diversity within her practice constantly provides fresh creative challenges, which she finds keeps things interesting.

Sarah’s practice is enriched by a variety of formal qualifications, including an Advanced Certificate in Studio Textiles (Melbourne College of Textiles), Bachelor of Education (Visual Arts) from the University of Melbourne. She completed her jewellery apprenticeship through Melbourne Polytechnic (formerly NMIT) and is fellow member no. 147 of ‘The Gold and Silversmiths Guild of Australia’.

Sarah is a second generation goldsmith, having learnt the tried and true practices of hand-fabricating timeless jewellery from her father, Graeme Kellett. From her home studio, she conducts small group classes in traditional jewellery-making skills, so she can share her passion for the craft.
